Brash Solutions was founded in 1986 by Dr Nicholas Brash, who worked as a practising lawyer at Arthur Robinson & Hedderwicks (now Allens Arthur Robinson) and Phillips Fox.  Nick completed his Ph.D. (Law) on employee share schemes in 1995, and co-authored the book How Companies Work.
Brash Solutions has since grown into a boutique firm specialising in innovative employee share ownership plans (ESOPs), incentive schemes and other employee performance products and services designed to keep companies a step ahead of their competitors.

We take a broad, bird’s-eye view of your business operations thereby providing meaningful insight into potential problems and solutions.

We also have unrivalled expertise in the design, tax and corporations law implications of equity incentivisation, having designed and documented ESOPs for such household names as Holden, Esso, Mobil, Alcoa, Siemens, CSL and Pfizer as well as a host of small and medium-sized enterprises. In the past, many unlisted companies have viewed ESOPs as out-of-reach, whether due to the costs or the twin obstacles of valuation and financing share buy-backs, making the whole process very complex.

Our priority is to make it simple.

Brash Solutions’ clients reap the benefits of over 20 years’ research and development into dynamic business strategies and in particular, employee share ownership, incentive and performance, and are able to access quality products and services at a reasonable cost.

Our specialty has always been employee share ownership plans but many companies are realising they need to do more than just share ownership via an employee share scheme. As a result of close business scrutiny over a number of years we have gained insight and intuition on which business strategies are likely to succeed.  Employee Share Scheme - sharing ownership

Our business offers four core services:

  • Business Strategy - reviewing your current business plan and addressing a wide range of commercial, tax and legal considerations to highlight areas for improvement, paving the way for tailored dynamic growth of your business.

  • Sharing Ownership - using an employee share scheme - generating greater incentive and aligning employee and shareholder interests, by setting in place a structure through which management and employees can own a share of the business via an ESOP.

  • Rewarding Success – creating incentive to succeed, by tracking employees’ performance and establishing appropriate reward schemes to benefit those who achieve predetermined business goals.

  • Goal Setting – ensuring management & employees are ‘on the same page’ and thereby improving business effectiveness, by making certain employees’ goals are understood and are aligned at company, team and individual employee levels.
Worldwide research shows that Sharing Ownership with employees through employee share schemes helps promote business success, especially in conjunction with other employee performance initiatives, such as Rewarding Success and Goal Setting.Top
